Synopsis

Light memberi tahu Ryuk bahwa ia mencoba menciptakan dunia yang ideal di mana tidak ada penjahat yang luput dari hukuman dan sebagai dewa dunia seperti itu, ia tidak dapat mengorbankan separuh hidupnya untuk mata shinigami. Light mulai bereksperimen untuk mencari tahu seberapa besar kendali yang ia miliki atas kematian seorang penjahat. Ia mencoba membuat tahanan melarikan diri atau menggambar wajah L sebelum mereka mati. Ketika mereka gagal melakukannya, ia mengetahui bahwa Death Note tidak mahakuasa. Dengan menggunakan pengetahuan ini, Light menyusun rencana untuk mencari tahu siapa yang telah mengikutinya. Light menyuruh seorang pengedar narkoba menyentuh Death Note dan membuatnya membajak sebuah bus sebelum ia meninggal. Selama pembajakan, Light membuat pelacaknya mengungkapkan bahwa ia adalah Raye Penber, seorang agen federal dari Amerika Serikat yang dipekerjakan oleh L dan rekannya Watari. (sumber: Wikipedia)
