Synopsis

Presiden Amerika Serikat menyatakan netralitas Amerika terhadap Kira dalam program Sakura TV “Kira’s Kingdom.” Sementara itu, Mello yang terluka parah menggunakan agen SPK Halle Lidner sebagai sandera untuk masuk ke markas Near dan bertemu dengannya. Mello menginginkan fotonya yang dimiliki Near agar dia tetap aman dari Kira. Sebagai balasannya, dia memberi tahu Near tentang Shinigami dan beberapa aturan Death Note palsu. Sudah curiga pada Light, Near mengusulkan kepada tim investigasi agar mereka menguji aturan “tiga belas hari”, tetapi tidak ada yang percaya bahwa mereka harus melakukannya. Sebagai tanggapan atas tindakan Near, Light menghubungi Presiden Amerika Serikat, meminta informasi tentang keberadaan SPK dan mengancam akan membunuhnya jika dia tidak bekerja sama. Kemudian, Hitoshi Demegawa, pembawa acara Sakura TV, pergi ke Amerika sebagai utusan Kira dan memberikan siaran ke seluruh dunia yang menghasut orang-orang untuk masuk ke markas baru SPK yang konon jahat.
